Our insurance team are able to advise clients about the range of clinicians and hospitals available to them once they have the necessary authorisation. ‘Fee assured’ clinicians charge within an insurance company’s limits and this means that members will not need to pay anything towards the cost of treatment if that treatment falls within their policy remit.
The training includes healthcare and healthcare management training which covers the legislations, regulatory frameworks and risk management. These are required to provide such healthcare services and treatments.
Advatech Healthcare began it’s origins in India in 2010 and has since built a strong foundation in the hospitals and ambulance services across India. It was incubated in Science and Technology Entrepreneurs Park (STEP) IIT Kharagpur and seed funded by West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation (Webel) Venture Capital – a Government of West Bengal organisation.

Advatech was launched in 2010 after 5 years long market research and activities, when Mr Samit Biswas, CEO was exploring the opportunities of Medical Tourism for India. Having had 20 years experience in the healthcare industry Samit was well networked with all the major hospitals in India. During the process of moving patients, tissues and samples from one region to another, it became apparent that there were clear gaps in organising efficient medical transport. There was a need to improve the co-ordination and quality of the ‘pick up’, safe transport and ‘drop off’ facility at all times. By 2014, a dedicated team of professionals had been recruited to run Advatech’s medical transport services. The service has now been increased with a number of technological innovations which run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are now able to securely access the entire logistics pathway and patients’ movement online and through smartphones.
We have introduced a business model TACIT (Technology, Administrative, Consultancy, Infrastructure and Training) on which we have built our healthcare services. TACIT services are now being expanded in the UK and there are clear long-term economic benefits of delivering these TACIT services within the UK and to other countries eg India, Pakistan and countries within the middle-east.
Over the past 3 years, we have created a successful ambulance service and training programme in Kolkata. Advatech has become a leader in providing air and road ambulance services within North-East India, where services have previously been lacking. The high quality internationally recognised training programme encompassing all stages of life-saving training such as First Aid, Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support, First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician courses.
We aim to provide all of our clients with tracking and medical report data access on their mobile devices. We are clearly aware of the risks involved and have provisions in place to ensure adequate management of risks, hence services are delivered via a risk adverse model.
At present, the focus of our business in the UK is in expanding non-emergency patient transport services (PTS) and an ‘out of hours logistics service’ for pathology samples to the NHS and independent sector. There is a UK-wide requirement that is currently not being provided nationally; 24 hours a day; by any other company in a cost effective manner. Our model will be able to positively impact the 7-day working week currently being implemented in the NHS GP services. It will also make more effective use of the existing laboratories and pathology reporting teams, consequently dealing with workload and capacity issues that are inherent in all parts of the healthcare sector.

Dr Kelly’s main specialty interest is coronary intervention. He is a high volume operator performing over 300 procedures per year. He is a member of the British Cardiovascular Intervention Society. In addition, his specialist interests include the management of acute coronary syndromes, screening for coronary disease with non-invasive techniques such as CT scanning and permanent pacing. He also continues to run a busy general cardiological clinical practice.
